Picture Retake/Make Up Day Sept. 19
Did you miss yearbook pictures on Schedule Pick-Up Day? Students who did not have their picture taken on August 4 or 5 will have their picture taken on September 19.  Click here for a copy of the Lifetouch form or pick up one in the office to be used that day.

Do you want your picture retaken? Bring the picture package you had taken on Schedule Pick-Up day and your picture can be retaken. 

Students will be called down by intercom by grade and last name.

8th Grade Show Choir Parent/Student Meeting 7 pm Sept. 22
There will be a meeting of all 8th Grade Vocal Music students and parents interested in participating in the 8th Grade Show Choir this year on Monday, September 22 at 7:00pm in the Southview Middle School Cafeteria. All questions regarding rehearsal and performance schedules as well as membership costs will be answered at Monday evening’s meeting. Come, and find out what it’s all about. We hope to have a great turnout this year!

AHS has been selected to host the Emmy Award winning group Tonic Sol-Fa on Sunday, October 12th at 3:00 PM.  They'll be performing in the AHS auditorium (east side of building). Tickets can be purchased at  
Chess Club Tuesdays after school Room 2104 or 2106
Come join the chess club on Tuesdays after school in Room 2104 or 2106. 

Girls Basketball Open Gyms Monday & Thursday 7 to 8 pm at AHS
 Girls Basketball Open Gyms will be held Monday and Thursday nights from 7 to 8 pm at the AHS. If you are going out for Girls Basketball please attend open gyms. Any questions contact
Anime Club Meets Tuesdays after School in Room 2106
Join the Anime club! Meets Tuesdays after school until 4:30 pm in Mrs. Sass’ room 2106. Get a permission slip from Mrs. CB or Mrs. Sass in Rooms 2104 or 2106.

Eat at Buffalo Wild Wings and support Ankeny Schools:
The Ankeny Booster Club is sponsoring a Jag-Hawk Monday Night Buffalo Wild Wings Challenge.  Show your school spirit by having a great meal while raising money for our student athletes and facilities.

  • Hawk Night - will be Monday, September 22

Using your Target Red Card can benefit Southview students' education
Do you shop at Target?  Do you have a Target Red Card?  If you do, Target will make a 1% donation to Southview.  It’s easy. Just click here to go to the Target flier. This will give you more details on how you can designate Southview as your school.  Target will then donate 1% every time you shop at Target when using your Target Red Card and .5% when you use your card at other establishments.  We appreciate your support in this program as well as your student’s school.   Thank you.

AHS Weightroom Open to 8th and 9th Grade

The weight room at AHS opened  Monday, August 25 for grades 10-12 and will be open starting September 3 for grades 8-9.  All training will be in the AHS weightroom.  The hours are 6am-7:15am on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 4pm-5:15pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.  All participants should enter through the front doors to AHS.  If you have any questions, please contact the Activities Office at 963-4335.

Looking for student handbooks? Access them 24-7:
For your convenience, the 2014-2015 Student Handbooks for all school buildings are posted online.  Your student will be receiving a printed copy of the handbook in the next couple weeks.  You may view the handbooks here or you can find them on our website under the Parents tab and select Handbooks.
65+ Activity Pass
Community residents age 65 or older are reminded they are eligible for a free activity pass to Ankeny Schools home events.  Passes are honored at all Ankeny home events except for sectional, district and regional playoffs sponsored by State Associations.  If you are eligible for a pass but have not received one, please visit Beth Rasmussen at the district administration office at 306 SW School Street.   If you have questions about the pass, please call 289-3920.
