Parents: Please take the School-Year Calendar Planning Survey -
Each year, Ankeny Schools’ staff, administration and Board representatives meet to discuss and plan the school calendar. Part of that planning includes surveying parents regarding their preferences and using that feedback to guide our decisions through the process.

We are beginning our planning process for the 2015-2016 school calendar, and would like to invite parents to take our brief nine-question, multiple-choice survey found at the following link:

Updated Southview Bus Procedures

At the end of each school day, there are 6 busses that transport students from Southview to Parkview.  Once at Parkview, students make an exchange from those six busses to their assigned home bus.  In order to limit the amount of students participating in the exchange, we are asking students whose home bus is #811, #814, #901, #904, #906,  or #910 to board that assigned bus at Southview.  This will help to streamline the process at the exchange and maximize efficiency.  Please help us in relaying this expectation to your student(s)  and thank you in advance for your support.

Celebrate our middle school students during Young Adolescent Month:
Ankeny is home to nearly 3,000 young adolescents, who live, learn and grow together in our city.  Despite rapid life changes, these extraordinary young people make meaningful and significant contributions.  This is why October is designated as Ankeny’s Month of the Young Adolescent, and why Ankeny celebrates the diverse talents, personalities and achievements of our middle school-aged students.  Read more about what you can do to celebrate the lives of these young people.
